Welcome to our Fall 2008 newsletter.
Did you know that it is less costly to hire temporary help than direct hire employees?
• You save money on benefits and assure your business of maintaining a low rate of unemployment tax.
• You have talented personnel working only when you need them.
• You don’t pay vacation, holidays or lunch hours.
• You are charged only for the hours worked.
If you need part time or temporary help to get you thru this difficult time, please contact us at 732-219-9552. We have candidates of a HIRE caliber screened and ready to meet your staffing needs.

Keeping Employees Motivated and Engaged During a Slow Economy
“ People become really quite remarkable when they start thinking that they can do things. When they believe in themselves, they have the first secret of success.“ Norman Vincent Peale.
In the last 20 years I have conducted interviews with thousands of job applicants and hundreds of employers listening to concerns and issues in the workplace. I am convinced that in order to keep employees motivated and engaged, they need to believe in themselves. And as managers it is essential to:
1. KEEP THEM INFORMED.
2. RECOGNIZE THEM FOR GOOD WORK.
3. PROVIDE APPROPRIATE TRAINING.
4. PROVIDE AN ETHICAL ENVIRONMENT THAT CONTRIBUTES TO THE COMMUNITY.
5. PROVIDE BENEFITS AND PERKS.
Keep staff informed
• We need to provide our workers with information about our expectations and those of the company. It is important that each individual be aware of the mission and annual goals of the company.
• Each individual should have a clear knowledge of how they contribute to the mission and goals. They should have a job description and written annual goals. Ideally, those goals should be decided and agreed upon together with a direct supervisor.
• Monthly meetings with a department or individual can help to keep the employee aware of the most recent successes and challenges of a company, as well as how well the department and contributing members have performed during that month.
• On an annual or quarterly basis individuals should participate in a review that is a two way discussion between the supervisor and employee regarding their goals.
“Feed-back is the BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS.” Ken Blanchard
In the Winter Newsletter ideas on how to recognize your employees in a cost effective manner will be shared.
