Dress Code for Interviews for Barbara Davis Employment Services Candidates:
Women
- Conservative skirted or pants suit. ( Navy blue, gray or brown, if possible)
- Blouse or top that is not low cut or provocative. Skirts should be knee length or longer.
- Hose
- Polished, closed toed shoes. Low heels or dress flats.
- Make-up should be conservative.
- Jewelry should be conservative. Don't wear jewelry such as bangle bracelets or dangle earrings that detract from an interview. Refrain from wearing tongue, or other face jewelry.
- Don't wear perfume. Some employers are allergic or may not like certain fragrances.
- Hair should be tied back if long. It should be conservative in style, clean and neat.
Men
- Suit with tie. ( Navy blue, brown, or gray) Conservative tie.
- Shirt should be white or off white or light blue.
- Polished dress shoes and socks matching suit.
- Do not wear face, earrings, or tongue jewelry.
- Do not wear after shave or cologne. Some employers are allergic or may not like certain fragrances.
- Hair should be neat, clean and cut above the collar.
- Face should be clean shaven.
Business Casual Dress and Grooming Appropriate for Most BD Temporary Assignments:
- Must use basic appropriate good grooming techniques. Shower or bath each day with soap and water.
- Refrain from using perfume, cologne or after shave lotions.
- Do not wear face or tongue jewelry.
- Do not wear jeans, sneakers, sandals, shorts, baseball caps or T-shirts.
- Keep hair clean and neat.
- All clothing should be clean and pressed. Do not wear frayed or torn clothing.
- Do wear hose or socks.
- Do bring sweaters or jackets on assignments in the event the heat or A/C is too cool for you.
Women
- Dresses and skirts should not be shorter than knee length.
- Slacks should not be tight fitting.
- Capri pants are not considered business casual.
- Wear tops that are blouses or shirts. Tops that are tight fitting or low cut are not appropriate.
- Wear comfortable heels or flats that are safe going up and down stairs.
Men
- Wear slacks or khaki pants.
- Shirts should be golf shirts or oxfords.
- Wear safe, comfortable shoes or loafers.
